Leo Weyburn was born & raised in Pensacola Florida and is the youngest of seventeen children. Growing up Leo can remember his siblings having the ability to play an instrument of some kind such as the fiddle, mandolin, guitar, harmonica and the trumpet. The vocal talent also ran throughout the family.  Leo was fascinated and intrigued and knew he was born to do them same.

His brothers Ernest & Frank would teach him a little here and there starting at the age of eight and Leo ran with it. He began learning more chords from listening and watching and even added his own little rifts where he thought it would sound good, he was developing his own style at such a young age.

By the time Leo was fourteen it was already noticed by a family friend named Jimmy Howardton of just how great he had become at playing the guitar. So, Jimmy gave him a proposition. He said to Leo," if you teach me how to play the guitar, I will buy you one of your own." The rest is history.

At the age of sixteen Leo and his niece Gail, appeared on the Lynn Toney show. Leo played the guitar while he and Gail both sang the song

"Blues Stay Away From Me" by Merle Haggard. Then at the age of eighteen Leo began writing his own songs and adding music to them. Also at the age of eighteen Leo decided to join the Navy, he devoted ten years of his life to service.

While working and making a living for his family as a heavy equipment operator, Leo still had the desire to sing and play the guitar, so while working a full work week, he also worked part time in the honkey tonks around California, and Nevada. He also played with Little Joe Piking and the Wranglers in Utah.

After retiring Leo moved back home to Pensacola, Florida and continued his mastered skill of song writing and has many copyrighted in the Library Of Congress, He will be sharing some of them with you on this website for your enjoyment.
