WELCOME TO THE REAL COUNTRY MUSIC JUKEBOX
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO PLAY YOUR FAVORITE ARTIST.
Here at the real country music jukebox, you will only hear TRADITIONAL country music. Some may ask well what does that mean? To us traditional country music can be as simple as a Roy Acuff song, to the electrified honky tonk of Johnny Paycheck but the name does bring forth a specific sound, namely the long-standing tradition of simple country songs delivered with simple instrumentation and a distinct sound. You will not see anyone swinging from a rope, no flashy lightshow, or the busting of a guitar. Traditional country music is not flashy, nor arrogant, it is a simple, heartfelt story floating on the twang of a steel guitar. We also have some merchandise for you to choose from so you can show your pride and support for your favorite artist. Anything bought here will go back into keeping this site alive. So if you enjoy the TRADITIONAL country music, sit back and play the jukebox with us, just click on the jukebox tab of your choice to be taken to that artist, there you can watch some videos and read a brief story on your artist as well as hear them do what they do best. Drop us a line and let us know how we are doing, we would love to hear from you.
Now we can't talk about traditional country music without the Ryman Auditorium coming to mind, which is also known as The Grand Ole Opry. The Ryman Auditorium was included in the National Register of Historic Places in 1971 and was later designated a National Historic Landmark on June 25, 2001, for its pivotal role in the popularization of country music. Many of the traditional artist got their break here and went on to make the billboard charts, thus bringing us some great talent and songs we still admire and love to listen to today. I can't help but want to put this great artist on the front page. Jimmie Rodgers - James Charles Rodgers was an American singer-songwriter and musician who rose to popularity in the late 1920s. Widely regarded as "the Father of Country Music", he is best known for his distinctive rhythmic yodeling. Unusual for a music star, Rodgers rose to prominence based upon his recordings, among country music's earliest, rather than concert performances – which followed to similar public acclaim. He has been cited as an inspiration by many artists and inductees into various halls of fame across both country music and the blues, in which he was also a pioneer. Among his other popular nicknames are "The Singing Brakeman" and "The Blue Yodeler".
Now as promised some of the best music to ever have been produced. Grab your quarters, a cold beer and your dance partner and whether you want to Waltz Across Texas with Ernest Tubb or experience the Final Touches with Conway Twitty, just choose your favorite artist and be taken back to a better time.
